Oldie but still yummy


This recipe has been around for a long time . It is very easy to make and yummy.  If you have never tried this you must.

 Jello Poke Cake

What You Need:
1 pkg. (2-layer size) white cake mix
1 cup boiling water
1 pkg. (3 oz.) JELL-O Strawberry Flavor Gelatin I have use raspberry too.
1/2 cup cold water
1 tub (8 oz.) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed
Make It


PREPARE cake batter and bake as directed on package for 13x9-inch pan. Cool cake in pan 15 min. Pierce cake with large fork at 1/2-inch intervals.

ADD boiling water to gelatin mix in small bowl; stir 2 min. until completely dissolved. Stir in cold water; pour over cake. Refrigerate 3 hours.

FROST cake with COOL WHIP. Refrigerate 1 hour. Then try and not eat the whole cake yourself.

    I use to make the jell-o poke cake every year for our sons classes, shortly before Christmas. They attended a private school through 8th grade, and the cakes were used as Jesus Birthday cakes the day before the class Christmas parties.
    Our third son likes this particular cake so much, that it is what he wanted and thus had served as his high school graduation cake.
    Always so moist and so yummy. Wonderful combination!
